‘The Wing’ to ekstrawagancki
obiekt zaprojektowany przez londyńskie studio Norman Foster + Partners i
wykonane w całości przez włoskiego producenta oświetlenia - firmę Fabbian
Illuminazione. Szerokość konstrukcji wynosi 6 m, natomiast jej wysokość 3,5 m.
Zlokalizowana jest w strefie dla vipów linii lotniczych Cathway Pacific na
lotnisku w Hong Kongu. Składa się ona z kilkudziesięciu grubych tafli szkła,
które zostały podświetlone od dołu delikatnym LEDem. Całość waży aż 8,5 tony,
chociaż sprawia wyraźnie wrażenie lekkości.
‘The Wing’ is an extravagant object designed by
Norman Foster + Partners studio from London and made by an Italian manufacturer
of lighting - Fabbian Illuminazione. It has 6 meters of width and 3,5 m of
height and is located in the Cathway Pacific airlines’ VIP zone at the Hong
Kong Airport. It consists of several dozen of thick glass panels, which have
been highlighted from the bottom with LED. The whole object weighs 8.5 tons, though
it makes impression of ‘lightness’.
Muszę przyznać, że obiekt zrobił
na mnie ogromne wrażenie. Jest zarówno nietypową formą lampy, ciekawym obiektem
dekoracyjnym, rzeźbą oraz ażurową ścianą. Przede wszystkim jest świetnym przykładem
nowatorskiej i odrobinę futurystycznej architektury wnętrz. Ponadto świetnie
wygląda w zestawieniu z błyszczącymi powierzchniami, stonowanym oświetleniem
oraz wygodnymi meblami. A jak
Wam się podoba cała konstrukcja?
I have to admit that it made me breathless. It is
both an unusual form of lamp, interesting decorative object, sculpture and
slatted wall. First of all, it is a great example of an innovative and a little
bit of futuristic interior design. In addition, it looks great in comparison
with shining surfaces, toned down lighting and comfortable furniture. How do
you like ‘The Wing’?
