Świecące meble są strasznie fajne! Są idealne na eventy i imprezy. Nadają się też do wszelakich klubów. Tak naprawdę nie wiem, czy chciałbym mieć taki gadżet w domu. Na pewno świetnie wyglądałby w ogrodzie, ale jeśli chodzi o wnętrza mieszkalne, to wolę chyba mniej kosmiczne rozwiązania. W Internecie można znaleźć polskich producentów tego typu akcesoriów, ale poniżej wybrałem przykłady głównie z zagranicznych marek (również dostępnych w naszym kraju). Ceny oczywiście zależą od firmy, ale świecące siedzisko można już dostać za około 500 PLN. Warto dodać, że niektórzy polscy producenci oferują możliwość wynajmu tego typu gadżetów specjalnie na imprezy w dość atrakcyjnych kwotach.

 

Illuminating furniture are really cool! They are perfect for events, parties and clubs. I’m not sure if I would like to have a gadget like this in my house. Surely, it would look great in a garden, but I’m a fan of less cosmis interior design solutions. You can find some Polish producers of this type of accessories on the Internet, but I chose mainly foreign brands’ products (available in our country). Prices depend on the company, but you can purchase an illuminating seat for just about 500 PLN. It is worth to say that some Polish manufacturers offer rental of such gadgets for any events in a quite low prices.

Na początek weekendu przygotowałem post, prezentujący skandynawskie dodatki do domu. Wybrałem pięć dość znanych firm, pochodzących z tego regionu. Tak naprawdę tamtejszych producentów jest tak wielu, że ciężko mi się było zdecydować. Ostatecznie wybrałem jedne z ciekawszych brandów, ale jednocześnie nienależące do najtańszych. Nie znajdziecie więc tutaj przedmiotów z Ikei. Dokładnie prześledziłem ofertę poszczególnych sklepów i umieściłem poniżej te, które od razu wpadły mi w oko. Pominąłem meble, które oferowane są przez niektóre z tych marek. Skupiłem się wyłącznie na dodatkach (dekoracje, zastawa, tekstylia) i ewentualnie elementach oświetlenia.  Mam nadzieję, że spodobają się Wam moje typy. Oczywiście wszystko można kupić w Polsce. Produkty te są dostępne na oficjalnych stronach producentów oraz w sklepach internetowych, takich jak Square Space, Atak Design czy Stereo Design. Zauważyłem także, że ostatnio powstaje coraz więcej sklepów oferujących skandynawski design. Wyjątkowo fajną ofertę ma Scandi Shop, chociaż nie znajdziecie tam przedstawionych niżej marek.

 

For the beginning of the weekend I have prepared a post, which shows Scandinavian home décor stuff. I chose five quite known companies from this region. There are so many producers in this part of Europe, that it was really hard to pick only five of them. Finally, I chose really interesting but not the cheapest brands. You won’t surely find any IKEA items below. I have searched through the offer of the individual stores and I picked the objects, which immediately got my attention. I skipped pieces of furniture, which are manufactured by some of these producers. I have only focused on decorating objects (ornaments, tableware, textiles) and the lighting items. I hope that you’re gonna like my types. Of course all these items can be purchased in Poland. All of them are available on the companies’ official websites and in online stores, e.g. Square Space, Atak Design or Stereo Design. I have noticed that many brand new stores offering the Scandinavian design have been established lately. Scandi Shop is one of the coolest, I guess. Unfortunately, you won’t find brands shown by me there.

Essey to kolejna marka, która zaskoczyła mnie prostotą oraz niewielką ilością oferowanych produktów. Wczoraj dostałem paczkę z katalogami oraz bardzo miły list, dlatego chciałem napisać o tej firmie kilka słów. Założona została przez duńskiego dizajnera Johna Brauera, który stworzył prawie wszystkie oferowane produkty. Obecnie marka znana jest na całym świecie, a produkowane przedmioty użytkowe z tworzyw sztucznych zdobyły już kilka prestiżowych nagród. Ponadto ceny poszczególnych dodatków zaczynają się już od około 40 PLN.

 

Essey is another brand that surprised me with the simplicity and a small number of products in its offer. I got a package with catalogues and a very nice letter from the company yesterday, so I decided to write a few words about it. It was founded by Danish designer John Brauer, who created almost every item. Now the company is well-known around the world. Plastic objects that are produced by Essey have already won several prestigious awards. Additionally, the prices of the individual items start from about 40 PLN.

 

Nie wiem czemu, ale strasznie podobają mi się czaszki zwierząt we wnętrzach. Do tego są one po prostu modne, chociaż raczej nie są propozycją dla wszystkich. Chodzi mi głównie o jakieś głowy byków i krów z rogami, a nie poroża jeleni i saren. Te kojarzą mi się z kolei ze szlacheckim dworkiem, leśną chatką oraz stylem rustykalnym, co kompletnie do mnie nie przemawia. Szczerze mówiąc, odnalezienie tego typu akcesoriów w ofercie wnętrzarskich firm okazało się trudnym zadaniem. Prawdziwych czaszek jest pełno na Ebayu, ale jedynie kilka marek oferuje nieliczne dodatki tego typu. W poniższych zestawieniach są tak naprawdę wyłącznie zagraniczne produkty. Jedyne poroże, dostępne w znanej w Polsce Zarze Home, nie jest już chyba produkowane.

 

I don’t know why, but I love animal skulls in interiors. They are just stylish, even though they are not a proposition for everyone. I mean mainly about some heads of bulls and cows with horns instead of antlers of deers. I associate these last with the view of a manor, forest hut or just a country style, what completely don’t appeal to me. To be honest, it was a quite difficult task to find such accessories in interior design companies. You can buy lots of real skulls on eBay, but just a few brands have them in stock. This is why there are only foreign products in the following statements. The only antlers, which I found in Zara Home (well-known in Poland), is probably no more produced.

Od kilku lat we wnętrzach coraz bardziej zauważalna jest obecność różnych form pieńków. Pełnią one wielorakie funkcje, ale zazwyczaj są siedziskami lub niewielkimi stolikami. Okazuje się, że w ofercie znanych i tych mniej popularnych marek wnętrzarskich znajdują się pieńki w rozmaitych kształtach i rozmiarach. Postanowiłem poszukać tych, których wygląd jest najbardziej zbliżony do naturalnego drzewa. Poniżej przedstawione są głównie międzynarodowe marki - pochodzące z Włoch, Hiszpanii, Portugalii oraz Danii. Natrafiłem jednak również na polski brand. Firma Malafor produkuje kilka rodzajów stołków z pni – naturalne, barwione, "stalowe", a nawet spalone. Warto wspomnieć, że ciekawą serię podpalanych mebli oferuje również znana holenderska marka Moooi.

The presence of stumps in various forms has been more noticeable in interiors for a last few years. They usually function as seats or small tables. Famous and less popular designer brands manufacture stumps in a variety of shapes and sizes. I decided to find these, which appearance is similar to the natural look of the tree. There are mostly international brands listed below (Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Danish). I also found a Polish company called Malafor. It is a producer of several types of stump stools with a natural, painted, steel and even burned look. It is worth to mention that an interesting line of burnt-out furniture is also made by Dutch brand called Moooi.
